Big girls.

We have three girls, and the two bigger ones are into things that require us to be places a couple times a week. And that leaves Little to tag along. I tell you, this is the most patient child. I once had to have her sit in the dentists office with me, when she was 4 years old, playing at the foot of the chair for 3 hours while I had a root canal. She played quietly and was no bother at all. She reads grades higher than she is. She is an avid reader. So she takes her things with us, and usually she just reads. No matter the noise and chaos that goes on, she is quiet and good and entertains herself. These past few weeks have been particularly busy with rehearsals and practices. Biggest and Middle are in the CharACTers production of Aristocats, that is on as of today, until Sunday. Such a super cute show! Oh my goodness are these kids talented! Here is just a little bit of Little doing her thing while the girls were practicing.

It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood...

It's a beautiful day for a neighbor...lol. I had lunch and coffee with one of the best ladies I know, my best friend and neighbor, Paige. It is amazing what a little girl time can do for your soul. It's Friday, so that means Lobster Bisque at a local coffee shop. I didn't think it would be any good, but YUM! Oh my goodness it is fab-u-lous! It is just a pretty, pretty day out. Honey has left for work, Big, Middle and Little are all at school and we are READY for the weekend. I am totally digging this weather, sunny but a little chill at night. That means comfort food and hot drinks. Right now I am feeling like life couldn't get much better than this (NOTICE: My thoughts are subject to change).

I am so excited for all the changes that are taking place here. I can't wait to see where it will all lead. I am taking the focus off of business, and putting it back on to enjoyment, and for my "business" to mean something that is far more than a paycheck. Although that is nice too, it is so much more than that. I cleaned house this morning and put new photos into frames. I realized that I was smiling the whole time I was looking at those pictures. My girlies have changed so much in the last year, it blows me away. Man, I was pulling Little into my lap the other night and it seemed like it took forever to get her all on my lap and snuggled up to me. I told my honey "She is getting so big!" For a four year old. But WAIT! She ISN'T FOUR! She is almost EIGHT! Talk about a reality check. Poor kid, I have been mothering her like she is 4. Uh, let me just add, that she doesn't seem to mind my temporary insanity.

The weekend holds all sorts of fun stuff for us. We have a Dreamcatchers Troupe performance, and a mini Aristocats performance too. Next week, Biggest and Middle will be "Alley Cats" in the CharACTers production of Aristocats. Fun fun fun.

Have a GORGEOUS weekend and spend your love on something/someone awesome. I'll be loving on my family :)

Comment Incentives

I thought it would be fun for me, and for my clients to have an incentive for comments on the blog. It's going to work like this. When I blog a session for my clients, I will share it on Facebook. From there, if a client gets 50 comments on their blog post, they will get a FREE 16x20 mounted image of your choice! That is a $125 value! All you have to do is get your friends and family to comment on the post (have them share it too!) and if it hits 50 comments, you can pick your image! Only one comment per person counts. No duplicates, and no repeat commentors. It's going to be easy to keep it honest and legit :) And it's less work on my part to have to go in and make sure each comment is from seperate individuals. Thanks!

Sound like fun? I can't wait to get started!

Remember folks ~ I am accepting ONLY 3 weddings for 2012. My wedding packages include a Beloved session...dreamy :) The Comment Incentive goes for weddings too. Get sharing the news people! Everyone is going to want in on this (and it is a great way to share some of your photos with family and friends)!

A "Little" [black and white]

I shoot a lot of color. But I love black and whites. There is just something about them. They feel classic, they feel, if that makes sense. It's just sort of like looking at the same photo, processed in color and again in black and white, the black and white one seems to have a certain feel to it. Something that is a little more emotional than color. Never the less, I rarely shoot it (because I am a mystery, that's why). Here is Little in all her black and white, classic glory. Yeah, these are getting printed. Swoon!
